The answer is none of the above. It is consistency. Showing up, every time, without exception.

That sounds simple, but it is not easy. I know from my own experience.

When my corporate career took off and I started travelling more, my training fell apart. I was a gym member where I live, in Utrecht, but in Singapore, or Chicago, or wherever the next client was, there was no easy access to a local gym. Or the hotel gym was a treadmill and a cable machine in a windowless basement room. Or I was simply too tired after a long flight and a full day of training delivery.

As they say, the only bad workout is the one you missed, and I started having more and more of those. One missed workout became two. Two became a week. A week became a habit of not showing up.

The problem was not a lack of motivation or discipline. The problem was the method.

A method that requires a fixed location will always lose to a demanding schedule. I had built my training around a place, and the place was not always there.

The switch to calisthenics changed everything. Four exercises, no gym, no equipment beyond what fits in a carry-on bag. I could train in a hotel room, a park, or a playground. Even on the worst travel day, with nothing available, a 20-minute workout of eight push-ups and twelve air squats per set, done every minute on the minute, is enough to keep the habit alive. Barebones, but unbroken.

That is what HeartKore is built on. Not the perfect workout, not the optimal protocol, but the unbroken habit. A method designed to survive contact with real life, wherever that life happens to take you.

So when people ask me what my secret is, I tell them the truth. I have been doing the same four exercises, in some form, for twenty years. Not perfectly. Not always optimally. But without ever truly stopping.

That is the secret. There is nothing else.

Build the unbroken habit.

HeartKore travels with you. Four exercises, no gym required, wherever the next flight takes you.
